Apple Murex
Chicoreus pomum (Gmelin, 1791)These snails have distinctively rough and wrinkled conical shells. The snail itself is cream colored with black blotches. Most of these snails observed are 2-4 inches in length. Found at depth of 2 feet or more. They lay eggs as seen in the bottom row of pictures. Found feeding on penshells and oysters.
